As a result of moving into the next exciting growth phase, Zikodrive are looking to recruit a Sales Engineer.

As a Sales Engineer you will be responsible for driving sales by offering technical support and expertise to customers, providing product training and demonstrations, negotiating sales terms, and developing relationships. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with other departments, including management, marketing, and product development, to help develop new products and create solutions that meet the needs of our SME customers.

The role will be based the majority of the time at our office in Hebden Bridge and partly working later on independently, travelling to meet customers as required in the UK, Europe and North America.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Generate Leads

- Use tools such as Linkedin and company CRM to generate leads for our products.

- Contact customers directly and build leads and prospects under own initiative.

- Respond to enquiries or sales made through the website and offer clear follow up support and ensure all requirements are met.

2. Site visits

- Where needed, site visits will be conducted to demonstrate products and to understand the needs of key customers.

- Site visits may be in the UK, Europe or North America.

3. Grow Revenue

- Take responsibility for strong revenue growth and look to develop new markets.

- As a sales engineer, the primary KPI for this role is sales growth. If you achieve strong sales growth, then the role could easily develop significantly over the next 3-5 years.

Person Specification

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or a related field.

- At least three years of experience in sales, technical support, or a relevant field.

- Strong technical knowledge of motors, motor controllers and related products and systems, including pumps, hydraulics and industrial automation.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Experience working with CRM and sales automation tools.

- Familiarity with sales processes and concepts.

- Fluency in English and ability to work in UK.

- UK valid drivers’ licence and the willingness to travel domestically and internationally to meet with customers/ attend industry events.
