We are now seeing significant component availability issues as a result of the worldwide production slowdown with silicon based products.
As a result of this we’ve had to temporarily make unavailable the ZD10 and ZD10LCD and are monitoring stock availability in a range of other areas.
We would encourage all customers to place orders as early as possible so as to avoid disappointment as lead times on some components are currently being quoted at 2 years +.
Whilst we don’t anticipate that the lead times will actually be this long, it will help us enormously if we have orders in with key suppliers so as to put pressure on manufacturers to move lead times forward.
We appreciate it’s difficult for companies to place call off orders but we will also accept call off orders on lower volumes than we normally would in order to try and work our way through this difficult time.
We appreciate that this is not the news that many of our customer’s would want, especially in light of the huge disruption we’ve experienced in teh last few years but unfortunately it is the nature of where we are at the moment.
Companies large and small have all been affected by the issue, including large parts of the automotive industry so it is just something that we will have to deal with.
