•The ZDBL5 is a brushless ESC designed for Sensorless Brushless motor control. This brushless ESC features closed loop PI (proportional integral) control enabling constant speed or constant current.
•The ZDBL5 brushless motor driver operates at up to 5A and up to 30v.
•The ZDBL5 is fundamentally a sensorless brushless motor controller but it can also be set up to work well with sensored brushless DC motors. Programmable current limits enable fine levels of control and safety protection.

•The ZDBL5 Brushless ESC also features selectable acceleration settings enabling high levels of tuning and optimisation for applications where starting under load is a must.

There are a number of options which can be added to the ZDBL5 brushless motor driver (brushless ESC) to help customise either the performance of the controller or add additional options such as external user interfaces. User interfaces can range from simple plugin pots through to LCD screens and customised set up boards. For example if you require a brushless motor driver with additional onboard pots to enable presetting of speed and current this can be done. An intelligent 5A brushless ESC (BLDC motor controller). The ZDBL5 BLDC motor driver includes closed loop feedback enabling constant speed or constant current. The sensorless brushless motor controller can also operate with sensored brushless motors and is designed to deliver highly efficient sensorless brushless motor control. One of the hardest aspects of controlling sensorless BLDC motors is the startup phase. To address these problems the ZDBL5 includes programmable acceleration settings allowing fine tuning of startup and acceleration in sensorless BLDC motors (particularly where hard starts or starting under load is required).
The ZDBL5 sensorless brushless motor controller weighs less than 12g and delivers up to 175w of brushless motor drive.
The ZDBL5 brushless ESC is fully programmable allowing it to be quickly optimised for a broad range of motor applications (see right hand side for some typical applications) but also enabling the controller to store preset programmes as required in your project.
By optimising the ZDBL5 brushless motor controller to your specific choice of motor we can deliver exceptional performance both in terms of mechanical output but also in energy usage. This is most effective in the startup sequences (a point which can often be problematic in a lot of applications which use sensorless brushless motors).
